I finally got a hold of Jordan’s highlight tape. Jordan might be quite but when he gets on the field he turns into a coaches dream. He becomes an animal, a bully and finishes his blocks.

This picture captures Jordan and how aggressive he is when between the white lines!

If you’re a football coach you understand finishing the block. I wanted to post his highlight and hope to get his senior year highlight tape on here as well!

Enjoy and watch the big man do work!

At 6-5 280 lbs Jordan Farrow came to DST going into his Junior year. His sophomore year he didn’t get much playing time but through his hard work and dedication he found that NOT only was he strong he was a good football player.

Last week Jordan accepted a full scholarship to play offensive tackle at Mercyhurst University. He has a great career ahead of him.

The only thing Jordan needed was confidence! The rest came naturally.

Jordan has had quite a successful high school career. His accomplishments are listed below.

Here is a list of Jordan’s accomplishments

-3rd Team All State AAA Offensive Lineman
-1st Team All-Conference (unanimous selection)
-2010 East-West All-Star Game Selection
-W.P.I.A.L. Champion (2010 Central Valley Warriors)

Jordan will be playing in the East-West All-Star game at Gateway High School in May. We are hoping to take a few DST athletes and watch Jordan as he plays in his last high school football game.

We have 40 athletes that train at DST. Each athlete has a different rate of success. This athlete is truly a great example of starting at nothing and continuing to climb mountains. Sean Hupp came to DST at 250 lbs. Sean needed some major work and the road ahead was a long one.

Over the past 1 ½ years Sean has completely changed into an athlete. He pulled out his potential and continues to reach new goals! Sean has been extremely focused since day one and has NEVER missed a training session. There is nothing he can’t do at DST.

Trust me if there was he WILL find a way to conquer it.

For coaches who say that bodyweight, kettle bells and sand bags don’t work here is another example of an athlete progressing through many phases of training. NEVER wavering, getting frustrated or making stupid excuses!

He gets it done!

Here is a video testimonial and a quick video of Sean hitting 225 lbs x3 for the first time on back squat.

Here is a small video clip of Sheldon Jeter of Beaver Falls Basketball. At DST we build strong confident and explosive athletes! We also build a family atmosphere that is hard to match!

Sheldon has major D-1 schools recruiting him as he continues his pursuit for a championship.

I had the opportunity to see Sheldon during this game. He totally dominated his opponent who is 6-11 and also getting looks at D-1 schools. This night Sheldon proved he was the best on the floor in every facet of the game!

Sheldon also wore the DST shirt to represent his hard work and dedication!

Check him out here on HeyRubino.com. Big thanks to John Rubino for providing this clip for DST!

Click here to view the embedded video.

Sheldon won MVP of this tournament and also scored his 1,000 career point during this game!

I’ll NEVER forget the feeling I had when I first stepped foot in a gym for the first time. The feeling I had when I first started lifting weights. I was 13 years old and found something I couldn’t stop thinking about.

At 31 I still have the same feeling when I walk into DST everyday. The same feeling when I train and when I coach my athletes. This isn’t something I picked up a few years ago. I have been living this since that first day.

See, I told ya…

Click here to view the embedded video.

The iron has molded me, has shaped me and took me to heights I thought I could NEVER reach! It always brought me to a positive mindset. It showed me how to conquer difficult obstacles and win with resilience!

Living my dream and opening up DST has become more than I could have ever imagined. Building relationships with my athletes is HUGE! These athletes are important to me and I want them ALL to SUCCEED!

I coach them daily, weekly, monthly and yearly! I NEVER hear an EXCUSE. If I do I quickly change their mindset. They ask me when I train. I train in the early morning. I train to get my mind right. I train to be better for them. I train to be mentally strong for my wife, family and my daughter who will be arriving soon!

I refuse to be a weak man! I refuse to sit and make excuses to my kids. Won’t happen!

I wanted my athletes to see me train and that I put the same mindset into coaching them as I do in my approach to the bar.

We train serious athletes ONLY with supportive parents! Without these two components the athlete will suffer!

If YOU want in YOU must earn it!

Over the past 2 months I have been running some small groups on the weekend for Youth Bodyweight and Development Program.

Dayln Brickner is an 11 year old football player from Beaver Falls. He has been in our program since day one and has been progressing each and every workout.

This week he will be traveling with his father to Dallas Texas to play in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl at Cowboys Stadium!

What a huge honor to be selected in such a big game at such a big stadium! Dayln won the MVP last year for the best defensive back as he had 3 interceptions!

Pumped to see some of his hard work pay off!

DST athletes wish Dayln and his team the very best!

Sheldon Jeter has become a big name in basketball and highly recruited as well! Sheldon has all of the ability in the world when he steps on the basketball court.

Sheldon has combined his ability with a strong desire to be great! When you talk to this kid he speaks with only confidence in his voice. He understands what it takes. He understands the he will run into competition that is equal and more challenging. He wants to destroy each challenge and prove he is the best!

Nick Pettigrew of Beaver Falls Football was selected to the “Top 22″! Nick was selected as a 1st Team Defensive Lineman.

Nick came to DST to prepare for his junior year and earn a starting position. During each and every workout Nick is always mentally ready to train. Nick’s intensity in the gym carries over into practices and games. I had the opportunity to catch one of Nick’s games and he has a “motor” on him. He does whatever it takes to get to the ball.

It’s the same intensity and fight that helped Nick get better each and every day he trains. There are no short cuts with this football player. He puts in the time, effort and fight to earn his keep. Nick will be preparing for his senior season and hopes to propel his playing to even bigger heights!

Nick was selected by a panel of coaches that he plays against. It’s a big honor to be noticed when you play in the MAC Confernece!

Good Work Nick!!

November 30th marks the 2nd year of DST being open. It has been a great 2 years working with dedicated athletes, meeting some great strength coaches and having the opportunity to get better each and every day at my craft!

The first thing I saw today was a motivational video about living life without passion. The title of the video was Life WithOut Passion is NO life at all.

It’s great to have a passion and follow that passion. Who cares what it is. I knew I didn’t want to be stuck under the rules of someone else. I HATE THAT!

I don’t want someone telling me what time I have to be at work, when I can leave, telling someone I have to leave work early and have someone pay me $9.31 an hour!

Yeah, I’ll NEVER go back to that! At age 12 I walked into my first gym and that was the beginning of my passion. I loved the weights! How they made me feel, how I could go into my own world and I was NEVER told “you’re dumb”, “you won’t amount to anything”, or”you’re weak”. The weights kept me out of trouble, kept my mind right and at age 31 I have yet to find anything boring about it.

I learn something everyday. I read something everyday that helps me become a better coach for ALL of my athletes!

At age 31 I’m stronger physically and mentally! I took a chance and followed my passion. I opened up the gym I dreamed about as a 12 year punk!

What’s YOUR passion?
