Time to Train (Mindset)
I’ll NEVER forget the feeling I had when I first stepped foot in a gym for the first time. The feeling I had when I first started lifting weights. I was 13 years old and found something I couldn’t stop thinking about.
At 31 I still have the same feeling when I walk into DST everyday. The same feeling when I train and when I coach my athletes. This isn’t something I picked up a few years ago. I have been living this since that first day.
See, I told ya…
The iron has molded me, has shaped me and took me to heights I thought I could NEVER reach! It always brought me to a positive mindset. It showed me how to conquer difficult obstacles and win with resilience!
Living my dream and opening up DST has become more than I could have ever imagined. Building relationships with my athletes is HUGE! These athletes are important to me and I want them ALL to SUCCEED!
I coach them daily, weekly, monthly and yearly! I NEVER hear an EXCUSE. If I do I quickly change their mindset. They ask me when I train. I train in the early morning. I train to get my mind right. I train to be better for them. I train to be mentally strong for my wife, family and my daughter who will be arriving soon!
I refuse to be a weak man! I refuse to sit and make excuses to my kids. Won’t happen!
I wanted my athletes to see me train and that I put the same mindset into coaching them as I do in my approach to the bar.
We train serious athletes ONLY with supportive parents! Without these two components the athlete will suffer!
