Time to Train (Mindset)

I’ll NEVER forget the feeling I had when I first stepped foot in a gym for the first time. The feeling I had when I first started lifting weights. I was 13 years old and found something I couldn’t stop thinking about.

At 31 I still have the same feeling when I walk into DST everyday. The same feeling when I train and when I coach my athletes. This isn’t something I picked up a few years ago. I have been living this since that first day.

See, I told ya…

The iron has molded me, has shaped me and took me to heights I thought I could NEVER reach! It always brought me to a positive mindset. It showed me how to conquer difficult obstacles and win with resilience!

Living my dream and opening up DST has become more than I could have ever imagined. Building relationships with my athletes is HUGE! These athletes are important to me and I want them ALL to SUCCEED!

I coach them daily, weekly, monthly and yearly! I NEVER hear an EXCUSE. If I do I quickly change their mindset. They ask me when I train. I train in the early morning. I train to get my mind right. I train to be better for them. I train to be mentally strong for my wife, family and my daughter who will be arriving soon!

I refuse to be a weak man! I refuse to sit and make excuses to my kids. Won’t happen!

I wanted my athletes to see me train and that I put the same mindset into coaching them as I do in my approach to the bar.

We train serious athletes ONLY with supportive parents! Without these two components the athlete will suffer!

If YOU want in YOU must earn it!

Daman’s Strength Training is the place for the serious athlete to train. The gym’s atmosphere and Rick’s training knowledge and the devotion to the kids, makes the athletes want to work hard. Training at DST has made Kyle feel physically and mentally stronger. He has become a more confident wrestler which has lead him to be selected as the team captain. We, as parents have noticed two changes over the past 5 months since Kyle has been training at DST. Kyle’s overall physical appearance has changed dramatically. Without even flexing you can see his 6-pack and muscle definition in this shoulders and arms. In addition to the physical change, he has also changed mentally. In the past, when Kyle wrestled, he would mentally shut down if he got caught in a tough spot which would normally lead to a loss. Now, after training at DST, Kyle is a different wrestler. He now works through all of his matches with confidence.

"From the first day I watched Rick Daman work with our players I knew that he would help them reach their potential. Not only are Jack, Anthony and Tony stronger, they are more confident. All 3 have gained muscle mass and explosiveness. Daman’s Strength Training is the way to go to help achieve individual and team goals."

I’ve known Rick for several years as he has now trained both of my sons. Jesse has been training with Rick for two years. His strength, attitude and love for working out continue to grow. Rick has reinforced a strong work ethic in my son. That work ethic has helped Jesse pack on 40 lbs of muscle and he continues to see improvements in his strength and mental toughness. With Rick’s continued support we are positive that Jesse will do big things on the football field this season.

With Utmost Respect,

Training at DST has helped me gain the confidence I need. Before I started training I had a lack of confidence. When I started 16 months ago I was only working with light sandbags and now I’ve got my bench up for 205 lbs and my dead lift is at 405 lbs. I have built my way up on the kettle bells first starting out at the 26 lb kettle bells and now I breeze through the 70 lb kettle bell. I recommend this gym because the atmosphere is intense and the other athletes around you will push you.
